Mixed reaction to Khoisan Leadership Act

The National Khoisan Council says there are still gaps within the Traditional and Khoisan Leadership Act, which came into effect on April 1. It makes provision for the statutory recognition of Khoi and San leaders in parliament, provinces and at a municipal level. Deputy Traditional Affairs Minister Obed Bapela and all relevant stakeholders kicked off a roadshow on the implementation of the Act in the Northern Cape.
